California Privacy Notice (CCPA)
Last Updated: April 18, 2026
This California Consumer Privacy Act ("CCPA") Notice applies solely to all visitors, users, and others who reside in the State of California ("Consumers" or "you"). We have adopted this notice to comply with the CCPA and any terms defined in the CCPA have the same meaning when used in this Notice.
1. Information We Collect
Our Website collects information that identifies, relates to, describes, references, is capable of being associated with, or could reasonably be linked, directly or indirectly, with a particular consumer or device ("personal information"). In particular, we have collected the following categories of personal information from consumers within the last twelve (12) months:
- Identifiers: A real name, alias, postal address, unique personal identifier, online identifier, Internet Protocol address, email address, or other similar identifiers.
- Personal Information categories listed in the California Customer Records statute (Cal. Civ. Code § 1798.80(e)): A name, address, telephone number, employment, or financial information (like monthly income).
- Internet or other similar network activity: Browsing history, search history, information on a consumer's interaction with a website, application, or advertisement.
2. Sharing and "Selling" of Personal Information
The primary purpose of GetMyCar is to connect consumers with third-party auto lending partners and dealerships. When you submit a loan request through our website, we share your information with these partners so they can evaluate your eligibility for an auto loan.
Under the CCPA, this sharing of information to our lending network may be considered a "sale" of personal information.
Right to Opt-Out ("Do Not Sell My Personal Information")
If you are 16 years of age or older, you have the right to direct us to not sell your personal information at any time (the "right to opt-out").
To exercise the right to opt-out, you (or your authorized representative) may submit a request to us by emailing us at privacy@getmycar.com with the subject line "Do Not Sell My Personal Information". Please note that opting out will prevent us from connecting you with our lending partners to process your auto loan request.
3. Your Rights and Choices
The CCPA provides consumers (California residents) with specific rights regarding their personal information. This section describes your CCPA rights and explains how to exercise those rights.
Access to Specific Information and Data Portability Rights
You have the right to request that we disclose certain information to you about our collection and use of your personal information over the past 12 months.
Deletion Request Rights
You have the right to request that we delete any of your personal information that we collected from you and retained, subject to certain exceptions.
Non-Discrimination
We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of your CCPA rights. Unless permitted by the CCPA, we will not deny you goods or services, charge you different prices or rates, or provide you a different level or quality of goods or services.
